The Sun - Don’t Let Your Baby Have all the Fun
The Rock Proper netlabel has gained an reputation for high quality upbeat indie rock. The new release titled Don’t Let Your Baby Have All The Fun by The Sun is no exception. This trio, consisting of Chris Burney, Sam Brown, and Brad Caulkins, has a snappy feel that sometimes reminds me of a light-hearted mix of Arcade Fire and Weezer. The album is produced by Spoon producer Mike McCarthy and he has traded his sparser Spoon productions for this somewhat crowded but infectious garage band party atmosphere.
