I Have Clones - Music 2.0
I Have Clones is a one man project out of Birmingham, England with a interesting sound straddling electronic pop and Screamo. As the first track resonates on his debut EP Music 2.0, I am reminded of the quality electronic pop of the 80s and 90s. Yet very soon, abrasive vocals and industrial tones permeates heavily. The second track “Fear for Flames” is fairly straight hardcore yet IHC’s more poppish vocals blend well with the post-punk tendencies. This is a fascinating mixture and one that kept my interest throughout. I tend to go for the more melodic efforts like the “She Chose Chav” yet these tracks are so creatively structured that they will probably appeal to anyone who likes imaginative music. Production wise, this is one of the best DIY efforts I’ve ever heard. A good debut from a very adventurous musician.
IHC appears to be a strong advocate for free music. You can get this free and legal album, and other tracks, from the artist’s website.
