Konntinent - two albums

Genre: Ambient

The music of Konntinent aka London artist Antony J. Harrison moves at an almost glacial pace yet it pulls you into an aural dreamscape that is meditative and calming. The album titled If I Could Buy a Map of Hope Volume 2 from Phantom Channel is a perfect example of his alluring sound symphonies. There is a constant use of guitar and organ-styled electronics yet traces of glockenspiel, voices, and drone effects all lending a part in this haunting collections of tracks. The music invites repeated listening and the use of earphones to catch all the subtleties from this talent sound artist. If you like it and want to get Volume 1, you can purchase it at Sonicpieces.

An earlier work, All Lines Lead In is freely available off the Serein netlabel. There are four tracks with none being under six minutes long. They are drone-like and less pastoral than the first album. However there is something powerful about them especially “Grasp of Math” with its fragmented choir. Both albums will be appreciated by fans of ambient, experimental music, and electronica.

Both albums are available in 256kbps MP3.
