Soprano Jody Pou and lute player Andrea Damiani team up for this recital of Baroque songs recorded live at the Villa Medici in Rome, Italy. The Baroque compositions are masterly performed in what must have been a fitting environment. The recording includes songs by Henry Purcell, Girolamo Frescobaldi and others. A highly recommended download for lovers of classical vocal music.
