Zn’shñ - The winter book

Genre: Ambient

“Invented and defined by Smith, the term Zn’shñ signifies: the gleam of dark colours. Deliberately antithetic and intentionally enigmatic, Zn’shñ is basically enthused by Butoh iconography, Japanese Gagaku aesthetic and Tibetan rituals codification”

Are you confused yet? Zn’shn, a musical project consisting of “Electronic manipulators” Franck Smith & Elvire Bastendorff, may sound a bit esoteric and bizarre but it is the actual sounds that counts..and yes it is a bit esoteric and bizarre but still mesmerizing. The Winter Book is the original soundtrack for a 30mm digital film made by Bastendorff. It was recorded in Paris during December of 2008 with no overdubs, a feat that is especially impressive when you hear the music.

The Winter Book is available in one single track at 320kbps MP3.
