The Bailout by Hip-hop duo Braintrust is the first release from Just Plain Ant’s new net label Just Plain Sounds. Braintrust consists of the rude and party heavy rapping and lyrics of Dr. Benway and A-Bomb and they manage to be brash and fresh throughout this fun album. There are some distinct social comments in tracks like “Bank Robbin’ You” yet party music is the duo’s strong point. “Mission From God” and “Late For The Party” are two tracks that would get any gathering started but I must point out the rockin’ “Shake Em Down” if only for the sampling of R. L. Burnside’s marvelous blues classic “Shake Em On Down”. Party on!
