Roger Subirana - three albums

Genre: New Age

Roger Subirana has three albums on Jamendo that are splendid examples of new age instrumental music. The best of the three is his latest CD, Point of No Return. It is a many layered work that works best on tracks like “Pyraminx” which evokes a cinematic sound. Point of No Return, like Subirana’s other two albums Secrets and Lost Worlds are fine efforts and will appeal to new age aficionados.

All three albums are available in VBR MP3 from the links below.

  1. Wow. Wow. Wow. I’ve always been the HIGHLY verbal type, so although I find instrumental music pleasant enough, I’ve never as a rule tended to get particularly excited by anything without lyrics. Then Marvin posted these Roger Subirana albums, bless his heart. My only quibble is that the one is actually called “Lost Words,” not “Lost Worlds.” Okay. That said, all I can do is gush about how amazing and diverse Subirana’s music is. “Blood Brother” is gorgeous and haunting and sounds so much like Enya, I half suspect he must have snuck into her recording studio one night and stolen a cut intended for her next album. “Disbey Ke” is what I want playing in the background the next time I watch a thriller with a high-speed chase, and “To Breathe One’s Last” is perfect for the climax of a five-hankie Oscar-winning weepie. Play these albums next time you feel like a trip to the cinema but can’t afford a ticket!
