It's quite interesting how you posted your opinion about jazz on a post about a non-jazz album. You are entitled to your opinion as rude as it is but if I can say in defense; If you think mainstream and established jazz stars like Jeremy Pelt, Charlie Hunter, Marcus Strickland, Helen Sung and Jimmy Greene are crap, all having free albums reviewed on my blog, then you haven't listened to very much good jazz. As far as there being a lot of avant garde jazz available, yes I like it. I have played as a professional for enough years in the avant-garde scene and commercially to appreciate both. Sorry you can't find anything you like here. Good luck elsewhere.

Why is it that every jazz offering here is crap?Surely there can't ONLY be crap available for download,or is it that you like crap? All of this avant garde,puhing-the-limits stuff, you remind me of most film critics..They seem to have little use for what the majority likes and instead praise rotten films that few people want to see...After listening to all sorts of jazz for the past 30 years or so,and playing some myself I have to say it,man...you have no fucking taste and these free albums are mostly shit...maybe that is why they are free, right?I mean, who'd buy this garbage?

Actually, she sounds a lot like early Jewel - her style, the content of her lyrics, and her voice.

I agree with pascal, this is VERY reminiscent of Ani DiFranco. Which is a good thing. Nice work.

100% ACK.
The guitar reminded me of Ani DiFranco, especially that staccato-slap-style and some of the singing. The way in which she nearly raps parts of "Rash" is the most unique, imo,...

If you do want to buy the CD, but don't own a credit card, you could do as I did: drop them a mail and pay via PayPal.
Oh and the best argument for buying a CD of a free album is of course, that you can (being audiophile) rip it to (lossless) FLAC, and the artwork is nice :)
