Cagey House - Model City
Cagey House has been around for a while and have released a number of online albums. I’ve always liked his music but for some unexplainable reason the albums didn’t really grab my attention…until now. The new album off the Nishi netlabel is Model City. Its architectural concept is perfect for Cagey House’s highly structured and catchy electronic musings. Attractive and witty melodies dominate this highly listenable collection. “Alarm Decision” is a joyous and funny march while “The Grand Tower (Midnight)” is an impressionist soundscape. My favorite track involves the lazy afternoon beats of “Cue Club”. This is an engaging album full of creative and playful surprises.
