Alessio Benvenuti - J. S. Bach: Sonate e Partite Parts I & II
Violinist Alessio Benvenuti generously offers two free online albums of six Bach masterworks for solo violin. Volume I includes “Sonata N.1 In G minor BWV1001″, Partita N.1 In B minor BWV1002, and Sonata N.2 In A minor BWV1003. Volume II covers “Partita N.2 In D minor BWV1004″, “Sonata In E major BWV1005″, and “Partita N.3 In E major BWV1006″. This is solo classical violin playing at its best. For an interesting comparision, try matching Yaron Hasson’s transcribed guitar version of “Partita No. 2 in D Minor” with Benvenuti’s rendition.
