Emil Klotzch - Tiefe Berge

Emil Klotszch’s Tiefe Berge is a “sonic exploration” of the Scottish Highlands. Field recordings of the organic sounds of the highlands are manipulated electronically into a dense, ambient soundscape. Sounds of rain, stream, winds and birds are intertwined into this electronic symphonic poem. However it should be noted that this is no environmental relaxation tape. Klotsch’s works, while they can be very relaxing, are complex compositions that sound miminalist but reveal many layers with repeated listenings. The eight tracks are an intriquing experiment in the creative use of field recordings of nature.

The album is available from the Autoplate netlabel in either an album zip or separate tracks. The files are in 192kbps MP3. While you are there check out the cool animated album covers!
